MORGAN SHEPHERD 's commitment for helping individuals with disabilities is deeply personal.

At just 12 years old, he was diagnosed with polio.  Though he endured years of treatment and pain, he considers himself fortunate to have avoided severe limitations.

That perspective has shaped his life’s mission.

In the mid-1990s, Morgan met Betty Archer, who had been severely impacted by polio.  He provided her with a custom-designed modular home tailored to her needs.

“We wanted to put a little bit of heaven in her life while she was here on earth,” he says.

Years later, after Betty’s passing, Morgan ensured her legacy continued. The home was donated to the PARC Workshop, where it served as a training unit—helping individuals learn essential life skills like cleaning and home care.

“We made good use of that home,” Morgan adds.
